Commandant MIST Delivers a Keynote on NEIR at Digital Device and Innovation Expo 2026
Today, on 29 January , 2026, during the Digital Device and Innovation Expo 2026, Maj Gen Md Nasim Parvez, BSP, ndc, afwc, psc, Commandant of the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), delivered a keynote address. Starting from January 28 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre the four-day event is being jointly organised by the ICT Division, the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA), and the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS).
The keynote presentation on “Prospects and Challenges of Implementing National Equipment Identification Register (NEIR) in Bangladesh” was timely and highly engaging.
The thought-provoking discussion drew keen interest from participants across the house, resulting in an interactive session marked by curiosity and meaningful exchange of ideas.
The address highlighted the critical role of NEIR in strengthening national digital security, while also shedding light on the challenges associated with its effective implementation in Bangladesh.
