Celebration of the Recent Performers of MIST Computer Club in Programming Contests and Orientations of Level 1 Students
On 1 June 2023, an event was organized by the MIST Computer Club to recognize the recent achievement holders and introduce the students of level 1 to the amazing journey of MCC. The event's Chief Guest was Brig Gen Md Mahfuzul Karim Majumder, the Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
The presentation was initiated by reviewing the history of the club's establishment, activities, and purposes. The orientation event featured a brief inspiring message from Kishwar Shafin Anik, the founding president of MCC and now a research scientist at Google, a motivating speech on the importance of problem-solving delivered by Muhaimin Bin Munir, the former moderator of MCC (2020-2022), and an exciting and fun spot quiz aimed at challenging the out-of-the-box thinking skills of the newcomers at Level 1.
Following the orientation program, the crest-giving ceremony took place. Md. Mahfuzul Karim Majumder, the chief guest of the event, presented tokens of appreciation to the best performers in the Luna Shamsuddoha Girls in ICT Day Celebration - All Girls’ Programming Contest 2023, Digital Innovation Challenge for Women 2023, ICPC Algo Queen - the Girls Programming Cup 2023, and ICPC Asia West Championship 2022. Additionally, Muhaimin Bin Munir received a farewell crest for his exceptional dedication and impact on the club. The celebratory program concluded with a closing address from our honorable HOD, emphasizing the necessity of persistence and encouraging the future programmers of MCC to extend the frontiers of past achievements.
