MIST Hand Sanitizer: Response to COVID-19 Outbreak
A group of scientists from the Biomedical Engineering Department initiated the development of high-quality hand sanitizers according to WHO standard protocols, in response to the current situation regarding COVID-19. The group collaborated with 20 faculties & Staff members as well as 40 student officers to implement mass production of the hand-sanitizer and has already distributed 15,000 bottles. The sanitizer was recently tested by Renata Pharmaceuticals, who have certified it to be of excellent quality. The department has also taken an initiative to develop a low-cost ventilator in this regard.
